Ventum Dynamics is working on developing a renewable and sustainable wind turbine.

IMG_4500-768x1024Most renewable technologies today are using virgin materials, materials that cannot be recycled, and materials that can be ethically questionable due to their method of extraction and processing.

Ventum is embracing a circular model and focuses on using recycled and re-used materials for the turbine. This includes steel cut from old shipping boats and platforms such as Greenyards  provides.

For the purpose of finding the best solutions for the turbine VDG drove down to Feda to meet with Tor Sverre Hansen to discuss a collaboration between VDG and GreenYards.

Green Yard recycles ships and rigs environmentally friendly in compliance with applicable national and international agreements and legislation.

Their recycling method ensure that both occupational and environmental responsibilities are addressed responsibly. The majority of recycling occurs indoors to limit emissions into the environment. Modern and innovative tools with low emissions contribute to a pleasant working environment with less noise and dust.

Greenyards is in compliance with the Hong Kong Convention (HKC), EU ship recycling standards (EU SRR), and the Basel Convention.

We are looking forward to collaborating with Greenyards and together move towards a more circular energy sector.
